We are always told how education is a key to success. We also come across several quotes about the importance of education. But do we really know why education is so important? Why exactly do we need education in our life. Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life in The Netherlands.
Patients with the so-called hereditary form of breast cancer BRCA-1like, stage III, who are between 18 and 65 years of age, will face this new treatment with a high dose of chemotherapy and stem cell transplantation. As this is an experimental treatment, the Minister of Health, Edith Schippers, has conditionally admitted the treatment to the basic package of all healthcare insurances. Reimbursement will apply for a period of six years.
Conditional admission will give patients faster access to certain (promising) treatments. This will also provide insight into the costs and effects of the relevant care. It will be decided afterwards whether a treatment will also be definitively admitted. Conditional admission to the basic package has only been granted since 2012 and has only occurred fifteen times since then.
